History

The emblematic “Hotel Rural Casona Santo Domingo” faithful to its 16th century architecture, preserves the charm of the traditional Canarian style, which is why it is considered a Monument of Cultural Interest. The floor plan of the mansion is “L” shaped, with a bright rectangular courtyard surrounded by plants. One of the most striking elements of its exterior is the unique balcony made of tea -the heart of the Canary Island pine-, a material that can also be found inside the house. In the 19th century, structural work began on the house, which gave the building its current appearance, later including in its rooms the typical hydraulic floors with beautiful designs of Catalan noucentista style.
